L’ICONA DELLA THEOTOKOS
Il dipinto della «Madre di Dio sempre Vergine» si trova all’interno della cappella del coro invernale o della Theotokos, è l’immagine titolare della Basilica di «Santa Maria in Cosmedin».
Risale al XIII sec. e, fino ai restauri del Giovenale, era nell’edicola dell’abside maggiore. Nell’edicola venne collocata nel 1618 da Carlo Castelli e successivamente (1700) Giovanni Battista Sabbatini. Gasparri la protesse sotto cristallo. All’Icona sì attribuiscono vari miracoli.
THE ICON OF THEOTOKOS
The painting of the “Mother of God always Virgin” is found inside the chapel of the winter choir or of the Theotokos, it is the titular image of the Basilic of “Santa Maria in Cosmedin”.
It dates back to the 13th century. and, until the restoration of Giovenale, it was in the aedicule of the main apse. It was placed in the shrine in 1618 by Carlo Castelli and later (1700) by Giovanni Battista Sabbatini-Gasparri protected her under crystal. Various miracles are attributed to the Icon.

La peinture de la “Mère de Dieu toujours Vierge” se trouve à l’intérieur de la chapelle du chœur d’hiver ou du Theotokos, c’est l’image titulaire de l’église de “Santa Maria in Cosmedin”.
Elle remonte au XIIIe siècle.et, jusqu’à la restauration de Giovenale, elle se trouvait dans l’édicule de l’abside principale. Il a été placé dans le sanctuaire en 1618 par Carlo Castelli et plus tard (1700) par Giovanni Battista Sabbatini-Gasparri l’a protégée sous le cristal. Divers miracles sont attribués à l’Icône.

Sund bis zu den Restaurierungsarbeiten von Giovenale befand es sich in der Nische der Haupt-Apsis. Dem Bild werden verschiedene Mirakel zugeschrieben.In der Kapelle des Winterchores 0 der Gottesgebärerin befindet sich das Gemälde der «immer jungfräulichen Mutter Gottes », es ist das Titelbild der Kirche «Santa Maria in Cosmedin».
Es stammt aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. und bis zur Wiederherstellung von Giovenale befand es sich in der Ädikula der Hauptapsis. Es wurde 1618 von Carlo Castelli und später (1700) von Giovanni Battista Sabbatini-Gasparri beschützt sie unter Kristall. Der Ikone werden verschiedene Wunder zugeschrieben.
